The Base Commerce Online Merchant Application process comes in two versions. In the first, the partner has complete control of the user experience. The product provides the flexibility to build a customized form, ask questions in the order that makes the most sense, and then submit the data seamlessly through the Prebuilt SDK. In most cases, the application becomes part of the overall customer enrollment process. In that way, the merchant is signing up with the SaaS provider and applying for the merchant account in one streamlined process. This frictionless approach both increases adoption and decreases abandonment.

With the second version, the merchant application is started in the Partner Portal and shared via email with the merchant who completes it. The partner can then review the data, submit it to underwriting, and follow it through the underwriting process.
